The Story
Break The Traction
Traction is what keeps a car pointed forward. Breaking it is a decision.
Ahmedabad had the energy of a crowd that had been waiting and the BMW M2 "Bumble Bee" gave them exactly what that kind of room deserves. Acid yellow under stage light, rear tyres past the point of composure, smoke building in white and pink around the back end until the taillights were the only thing still sharp in the frame. The cobblestone surface underneath doing nothing to slow it down.
This is a rear-quarter shot. No face, no driver, no context outside the car and what it's doing. That is the whole point. At a certain level of commitment, the machine stops being a vehicle and becomes a statement. The smoke is the punctuation. The crowd, whose noise had been climbing all night, found a new ceiling.
There is a reason this car is called Bumble Bee. Yellow, loud, impossible to ignore, built to make an impression in the least amount of time possible.
At Ahmedabad, it did exactly that.
